Sinag printing gives seminar to DOLE Region 4-A communications officers!

Last December 14, 2011, we were invited by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Region 4-A or CALABARZON area office to give a seminar on good news writing.

We gladly obliged our friends from DOLE and thoroughly enjoyed the session with the communication officers from different provinces in the region.

Thank you to Marjorie Hardillo-Arcebuche for inviting us to the event and to Atty. Ricardo S. Martinez, the regional director of DOLE Region 4-A, for the Certificate of Appreciation that he gave us!

Sinag gives seminar at FAITH, Tanauan, Batangas

Another pahabol blog! We’d like to thank the staffers of the Lighthouse and Orange Magazine publication from First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) in Tanauan, Batangas for inviting us to become resource speakers for their seminar on Effective Writing and the Elements of Good Design last November 10, 2011. We had a great time with the Lighthouse kids during our talk.

Kudos to their graphics editor Juan Paolo A. Escober and to their adviser Atty. Gay Marie Francisco, we certainly look forward to the great publications that these year’s batch of Lighthouse staff will be coming up with and of course, to more awards for these talented young writers and graphic artists!

Sinag printing's Courtesy Call to Philippine Embassy in Vienna, Austria

This is delayed blog post (sorry, we’ve been very very busy since getting back home) but we just wanted to upload our pictures of Sinag’s courtesy call at the Philippine Embassy in Vienna, Austria.

We were welcomed by Minister Manahan since the Philippine Ambassador to Vienna was out of the country when we did our visit. The photo op was done in the Rizal reading room. We were then toured by one of the embassy staff to a building near the embassy with a marker set up by the Austrian government to mark the hotel where Jose Rizal once stayed in when he visited Vienna long ago. That was cool! I only wish we were also able to see the Rizal monument in Paris when we visited there aswell but alas there was not enough time.

Maybe next time, I guess (wishful thinking…)

Spirit of Christmas @ Sinag Printing

by: Shara Jane Falceso

It was December last year when we had our company Christmas Party. I still remember how happy it was, well who would not be delighted with all the raffle prizes, overflowing foods, games and exchange gifts. I mean, the mere fact that we are all happily celebrating the party is enough.

The party started at around 8pm after the anticipated Simbang Gabi which was sponsored by the Dela Peña-Landicho Family & Sinag Printing. But before we started the games and other stuffs, we enjoyed first the delicious foods prepared by none other than the “Great Auntie Omeng”. I really loved the hamonado and siomai that night. But much as I wanted to eat “a lot”, palpitation will surely strike if I will not control myself (laughs).

We’re all ready for the games just a couple of minutes after we eat. Our first game, Calamansi Relay - Girls vs. Boys. I joined the game and I’m expecting that time that we’re gonna win. Yes, we’ve won! It’s just a matter of balancing the calamansi on a plastic spoon. Whew! We also have paper dance, Pinoy Henyo andTrip to Jerusalem-with a twist. Below are some of our crazy pictures during the games.

After the games, here comes my favorite part, the exchange gift and raffle draw. Everyone was excited to receive their gifts. All are excited to give and to receive during that time, especially during the raffle draw. I’m not a lucky person when it comes to raffles, and I’m used to that ☺. But it’s different during our company Christmas Party. Everyone was entitled to a one raffle prize. I’ve received an electric fan and I haven’t used it yet, haha!

Part of the celebration was to award the Certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Ramir Garcia, our Machine Operator, for his outstanding attendance. He’s never been absent, never been late for the whole year 2011.

Can you do that? Impressive isn’t it? Kura Ramir was very happy receiving his award in front of his wife and son. Yes, families of each employee are invited to party with the whole Sinag clan. That made our Christmas party even more memorable.

It was undeniably the best Christmas Party that I’ve experienced so far. I’m looking forward to this kind of party in the future, simple yet absolutely perfect ☺. Until next Christmas party-partey!
