Updates from the Yearbook Specialist

Sinag Publishing and Printing Services is a commercial printing venture that specializes in YEARBOOK PRINTING and printing services for schools (such as school diaries).

For 2009, we already have several new schools under our roster, these include STI Calamba (for yearbooks) and the University of Perpetual Help (for school diaries/handbooks). We are also the current printer for the college yearbook of First Asia institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) in Tanauan, Batangas and other loyal clients include the Calamba Doctor's College (CDC), Don Bosco College in Canlubang and the Institute of Computer, Arts & Technology (CLCC) in Calapan City, Mindoro Oriental.

What's great about our services is that we don't just concentrate on big schools or Universities, we also help smaller schools actualize their dream of printing their school's yearbooks.

We always go the extra mile by customizing our services based on our client's needs and we establish customer loyalty by providing value added services.

These added services include free lay-out and design services for schools, we also provide consultation services for yearbook projects (we wrote a YEARBOOK KIT especially for school officials not familiar with yearbook printing processes). We even have a FREE annual SINAG JOURNALISM TRAINING SEMINAR for schools (check out our post on last year's JTS). These and other value services we provide our clients have established us as one of the key players in yearbook/school printing in the CALABARZON area.

If you are interested in availing of our printing services, please feel free to call us at (049)834-6261 or mobile:09205819079.

This year's chosen cover design for our loyal client CLCC in Calapan City, Mindoro Oriental

We like to give our clients choices for their projects so on average we submit to them three to five cover designs for their yearbook. For example this year's cover designs for Calamba Doctor's College include these three samples:

CDC Design option 1

CDC Design option 2

CDC Design option 3

One of our newest clients is a newbie in the yearbook printing arena, the Infant School of the Holy Redeemer Academy (ISHRA) in Calamba, Laguna trusted us with their first ever yearbook. We are proud to say that it was a labor of love for us and a learning process for the school since we helped coordinate the project with them from start to finish. The picture below is one of the sample covers for ISHRA's yearbook. The background design is the stained glass art of their school's adoration chapel.

Sinag Journalism Training Seminar Program

SINAG PUBLISHING AND PRINTING SERVICES
JOURNALISM TRAINING SEMINAR PROGRAM

INTRODUCTION

Sinag Publishing and Printing Services is an enterprise that has pledged a vocation to community service and learning. The launching of Journalism Training Seminars with our partner schools is our way of showing our clients that Sinag goes the extra mile when it comes to our services. We aim to show our partner-schools that Sinag is not always just business but business with a consciousness of community service.

HISTORY OF SNAG PUBLISHING AND PRINTING SERVICES

Sinag Publishing and Printing first started its business as a provincial newspaper named Sinag ng Laguna Newsweekly in 2004. Envisioned as a local newspaper focusing on entrepreneurship and the local business community’s activities, Sinag ng Laguna has expanded its scope to commercial printing as a way of further enhancing the services it provides to the local business community.

We share our printing plant with our sister company Tambuli Press, one of the oldest printing plants in Laguna. Tambuli Press is the publisher of Tambuling Batangas Newsweekly and Ang Caviteno Newsweekly, both provincial community newspapers that have served the CALABARZON area for more than thirty years.

Our company’s long history of publishing newspapers gives us the edge in terms of printing newspapers and newsletters for schools and other institutions. And although Sinag has expanded to commercial printing, we continue to do community service by giving free seminars to public and private educational institutions. For private learning institutions, we currently offer our Journalism Training Seminar programs as additional benefit for schools that avail of our printing services.

BENEFITS OF THE JOURNALISM TRAINING SEMINAR
BY SINAG PUBLISHING AND PRINTING SERVICES

Learning institutions with school organs regularly conduct in-house or internal training seminars for their staffers as part of their program for developing the skills of their student writers, one obvious benefit of having an external training partner like us is that we assist the teacher/instructors in charge of the school organs in planning and formulating their training programs. We help enrich their training program.

A training seminar from us differs from standard in-house or internal journalism training seminars because we help provide the perspective of actual journalists who have knowledge of current industry practices.

We believe that standard lectures will benefit greatly from training workshops that focus on praxis and output, that’s why our training program is workshop-centered and each workshop strives toward an actual output from the students.

Being a publisher and printer of provincial newspapers, we also provide background information to student/writers and student/editors of the printing process that leads to the newspaper as a finished product. We believe that giving students an understanding of the whole process of producing a newspaper, from editorial planning up to the actual printing of the newspaper will enrich their experience of being staffers of their student paper. In connection with this, we also offer educational trips/visits to our design studio and printing plant for our student-beneficiaries as part of the enrichment program in our training seminars.

BE OUR PARTNER NOW!

If you are interested in availing of our packaged print plus training program, please don’t hesitate to contact and coordinate with us. We offer our training seminars to existing clients as well as new or potential clients as a value-added benefit of our printing services. Thru this additional benefit we want to show our clients that we go the extra mile when it comes to our services. So be our partner now and get a chance to experience our brand of customer care.

SINAG: The Yearbook Specialist

SINAG: The YEARBOOK Specialist

We at Sinag Publishing and Printing Services have dedicated ourselves to high quality print outputs with an emphasis on cutting-edge design. Our focus on quality and design has led us to specialize in one of the most competitive niche in the printing industry—yearbook publishing.

With every new yearbook project, we always strive to outdo ourselves and because we always have our customer’s needs in mind, we have developed a comprehensive program for yearbook publishing that is bound to please our customers.

“THE PICTURE TO PRINT PROGRAM”

Yearbook publishing is not a short term commitment; it entails intensive collaboration between the client and the professional printer. With that in mind, we offer our clients the ease of our picture to print package. This means that from the taking of the school and graduation pictures up to the final printing of the yearbook, we will be there to provide you with top of the line service. You will have the convenience of dealing with just ONE supplier for the whole yearbook project. It will save you time and effort but most of all, having just one collaborator for your project ensures that you achieve a cohesive output for your yearbook, be it in terms of quality or design.

World class professional photographers*

We have under our roster professional photographers who will provide you with world class service and output. All of our photographers are from UP Diliman, they are graduates of the College of Fine Arts and/or the College of Mass Communications, major in Film. These freelance photographers have extensive experience in the creative industries and with that in mind, you are assured of getting the powerhouse creative output of these professionals.

Your very own yearbook consultant

We will give you customized service thru our yearbook consultant who will assist you through the whole project-- helping you plan every step of your yearbook’s creation and ensuring that you get nothing less than the best value for your money.

Get your yearbooks on Graduation Day*!

Yearbooks sometimes suffer from the stigma of delayed releases. This is because yearbooks are usually released months after graduation (sometimes even a year or so after!) Many factors contribute to this common problem of yearbook publication, sometimes a lack of organization or planning on the part of yearbook committees result in delays and sometimes it is the printing press’ overbooked schedules that result in printing setbacks. However, we at Sinag believe that yearbook production and printing can be released on time with proper coordination and early planning. That’s precisely why we have devised a complete package or program for our clients—to ensure that they get the best kind of service on time.

*NOTE: The picture to print program is optional for our clients, if you choose to go with a different photo studio for your graduation or school pictures, Sinag will still offer other aspects of our yearbook services. Just as well, clients have the choice of getting their yearbook on graduation day or after their graduation, depending on their needs.
